COVID-19 Protocols
Safety & Wellness at Playhouse Child Care Centers-COVID Response
Playhouse Child Care is committed to the health and well-being of all the children, families, and staff that attend our Centers. Stringent safety and cleaning practices have always been a part of our daily routine. During the COVID-19 pandemic, that commitment is more of a priority than ever with added protocols in place.
As part of a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan, our COVID-19 protocols are guided by the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), and the Department of Human Services (DHS), specifically for Licensed Childcare Centers. All are closely followed, monitored, and updated for the latest information.

Health Screening
Health screenings and handwashing are a part of our routine. Children and staff are monitored daily to determine safe entry into our Centers.
Visitor Restrictions
Only essential visitors are permitted into the Centers.
Social Distancing and Mealtime
Limiting group sizes in the classrooms is practiced as well as maintaining social distancing among staff. Family meal style preparation and processes have been altered to accommodate social distancing guidelines and to reduce the spread of the virus.
Increased Cleaning Efforts
In addition to increased daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitizing guidelines, high touch surfaces areas and high traffic situations are focused on multiple times per day.
Parent and Staff Responsibility
To limit the spread of COVID, we ask that staff, parents, and children remain away from the Centers if they test positive for COVID, are experiencing COVID symptoms, or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID.
